What is Oxidizer?
Oxidizer is the Code Zero oxidising cream line, the developer designed to pair with Vibrant Color dyes. It comes in 0, 10, 20, 30 and 40 vol emulsions for precise, customisable colouring and lightening. The 0 vol contains no hydrogen peroxide and is enriched with Glycerin, Urea, Sorbitol and Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein to dilute and soften stronger volumes. For professional use only.
Who it is for
- colourists developing Vibrant Color permanent and tone-on-tone shades
- grey coverage and controlled lightening up to 4-5 levels
- customised peroxide percentages for fragile or sensitised hair
- technicians who want full control over developer strength
Key ingredients
-
Hydrogen Peroxide (10 to 40 vol): develops colour and lightens at the chosen volume
-
Glycerin, Urea and Sorbitol (0 vol): humectants that moisturise and soften during the treatment
-
Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein and Allantoin (0 vol): nourishing and soothing actives
-
Cetyl Alcohol: gives a creamy, easy-to-apply texture

Results
Each emulsion gives a creamy, easy-to-apply texture for uniform colour distribution. The 0 vol protects the fibre with hydrating and nourishing actives, while the standard volumes balance lifting power and gentleness for even, reliable results.
How to use
- Choose the volume by goal: 10 vol (3%) tone-on-tone or darkening, 20 vol (6%) grey coverage and 1-2 levels of lift, 30 vol (9%) up to 3 levels, 40 vol (12%) intense lift up to 4-5 levels.
- To customise the peroxide percentage, mix 0 vol with a standard oxidiser. For example, to obtain 5 vol, mix equal parts of 10 vol and 0 vol.
- Mix with the dye at the required ratio (1:1, 1:1.5 or 1:2) for permanent colour, extra lightening or toning, following the Vibrant Color instructions.
- Apply, process and rinse as per the dye instructions, then use a post-colour treatment.
Tips and routine
0 vol cannot be used alone with the dye: without hydrogen peroxide the oxidative pigments do not develop, so it must always be mixed with a standard oxidiser. For fragile or sensitised hair, blend 0 vol with a standard volume for a gentler treatment, and pair with a post-colour reconstructive treatment. Use with the Vibrant Colors range; for mixing ratios refer to the specific dye instructions.
FAQ
What is the 0 vol for?
It contains no hydrogen peroxide and is used to dilute stronger volumes for a custom peroxide percentage and a gentler treatment. It cannot be used alone with the dye.
How do I get an intermediate volume like 5 vol?
Mix equal parts of 10 vol and 0 vol to obtain a 5 vol emulsion.
What ratio do I mix with the dye?
1:1, 1:1.5 or 1:2 depending on the service, following the Vibrant Color instructions.
