The oxidant volume depends on the desired effect: 10 volumes for toning or darkening, 20 volumes for total gray coverage and tone-on-tone color, 30 volumes for more intensity and vivid reflections, 40 volumes for extra lightening up to two levels. For virgin hair, apply the mixture to lengths and ends, avoiding the roots, and leave on for 15 minutes. Then, apply to roots and leave on for an additional 20-25 minutes. For root touch-ups, apply directly to regrowth and leave on for 20 minutes, then distribute through lengths and leave for another 10 minutes.
Emulsifying and rinsing Once processing time is complete, gently emulsify with a few drops of lukewarm water, massaging the scalp to even out the color. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear, then wash the hair with Code Zero Color Fixx Shampoo, specially formulated for color maintenance.
Tips For a cooler or more intense shade, mix Vibrant Color 6.4 with a small amount of 0.44 Orange from the Pure Pigments line to enhance the copper component.
