What is Nika Round Brush 32mm?

Nika Round Brush 32mm by NIKA is a professional round blow-dry brush with a 32 mm vented barrel, made for short to chin-length hair, bobs and fringes. The 32 mm barrel builds lift at the root and a defined bend at the ends, with full control close to the head. Bristles all around the barrel hold the section with steady tension at every turn, and the textured handle keeps a firm grip from the first section to the last, at home and at the salon station.

Who Nika Round Brush 32mm is for

  • Short to chin-length cuts and bobs, where the shape starts at the root.
  • Fringes and face-framing sections on any length of hair.
  • Fine hair that needs lift exactly where it lies flat.

For another hair length or result, the other diameters of the series and the NIKA flat and vented brushes are compared below.

Key features

  • 32 mm diameter: small enough to work close to the scalp and build lift at the root, large enough for a clean bend on chin-length hair.
  • Vented barrel: the air of the dryer passes through the barrel as well as around it, so the section is worked from inside and outside.
  • Bristles all around the barrel: they grip the section and keep it under even tension through a full turn, for a smooth and glossy surface.
  • Textured handle: a firm grip during long blow-dries, also with damp hands; the hanging loop keeps the brush at hand at the station.
  • Metal collar: a clean finish at the base of the barrel, where the brush turns in the hand.

Results

Lift at the root, ends with a defined bend and a smooth, glossy surface: a short or chin-length cut that looks styled, not simply dried.

How to use Nika Round Brush 32mm

  1. Towel-dry the hair and rough-dry it until almost dry, with a vent brush or with the fingers.
  2. Divide the hair into sections no wider than the brush and start from the nape, working upwards.
  3. Place the brush under the section at the root and lift it, keeping the hair taut on the bristles.
  4. Follow the brush with the dryer from roots to ends, with the nozzle pointing down the lengths.
  5. At the ends, turn the brush to set the bend, then fix it with cool air.
  6. Release the section once it has cooled and move on to the next one.

For professionals

  • Service: blow-dry of short hair and bobs, fringes and root lift.
  • At the station: the larger diameters (45 and 53 mm) work the lengths, the smaller ones (25 and 32 mm) the fringe, the front sections and short hair; a complete station keeps all four.
  • After the wash: Miracle Keratin Spray on the towel-dried lengths, before the blow-dry.
  • Home care to recommend: the same diameter used in the service, to recreate the blow-dry at home, and Shimmer Smoothing Serum on the ends to finish.

Nika Round Brush 32mm compared

  • vs Nika Round Brush 25mm: the same NIKA round brush with a 25 mm barrel, the size for curls, short hair and fringes.
  • vs Nika Round Brush 45mm: the same NIKA round brush with a 45 mm barrel, the size for medium-length hair and a smooth blow-dry with volume.
  • vs Nika Round Brush 53mm: the same NIKA round brush with a 53 mm barrel, the size for long hair and big volume.
  • vs Nika Paddle Brush: a flat paddle brush for detangling and smoothing before and after the blow-dry; Nika Round Brush 32mm shapes the hair and gives it volume.
  • vs Nika Vent Brush: a vented brush for the rough-dry, which takes the hair from wet to almost dry before Nika Round Brush 32mm shapes it.

FAQ

Which diameter of Nika Round Brush 32mm suits which hair length?

25 mm for curls, short hair and fringes; 32 mm for short to chin-length hair, bobs and root lift; 45 mm for medium length and a smooth blow-dry with volume; 53 mm for long hair and big volume. The smaller the barrel, the tighter the curve.

Is it suitable for a fringe?

Yes: the 32 mm barrel works close to the forehead and sets the fringe in the chosen direction, with lift at the root.

Is it suitable for home use?

Yes: with a hair dryer at home it gives the same blow-dry as in the salon, and the textured handle keeps it easy to control.

Which diameters should a salon keep at the station?

All four for a complete station; as a minimum, one small (25 or 32 mm) for short hair and fringes and one large (45 or 53 mm) for medium and long hair.

Material and care

Remove the hair caught in the bristles after each client, pulling it from the base of the barrel outwards, with the tail of a comb if needed: open vents keep the air passing through the barrel. From time to time wash the brush in lukewarm water with a little shampoo, rinse and let it dry with the bristles facing down. In the salon, a disinfectant suitable for brushes can be used after cleaning. Keep it away from direct heat sources such as a hot styling iron, and replace it when the bristles lose their shape.
