What is Gems 01 Platinum?
Gems 01 Platinum is a semi-permanent colour mask by Code Zero, from The Gems Collection, that deposits a cool platinum reflection. It is ready to use, without ammonia and without developer: apply, leave on for 5 to 15 minutes and rinse.
On very light, lightened hair it gives the cool platinum of the colour chart; on natural blonde hair it leaves a cool reflection. It is used on its own, diluted with Gems C Clear for a softer platinum, or as a pre-pigmentation before colour. It is not part of the official formulas of the Gems Colors Chart.

The starting base decides the colour
Gems 01 Platinum does not lighten: it adds its pigment to the colour it finds on the hair. A clean platinum shows only on the lightest base, because the warmth left in the hair mixes with the cool pigment and makes the result less clean. Assessing the hair before application is the step that decides the final colour.
How to assess the base
- Level: how light the hair is, on a scale from 1 (black) to 10 (lightest blonde). The platinum of the colour chart is achieved on the lightest base.
- Underlying tone: after lightening a yellow or orange undertone often remains. A pale yellow undertone gives the platinum of the chart; a stronger yellow gives a less clean, more beige platinum; an orange undertone is not covered by this shade.
- Evenness: roots, lengths and ends can have different levels, and each area shows a different platinum.
- Porosity: lightened or treated hair takes the pigment faster than natural hair: on very porous ends a cool shade can deposit more intensely.

How to achieve the platinum of the colour chart
- Assess the base: level and underlying tone, as described above.
- Lighten to the lightest base with a pale yellow undertone, if the hair is darker: a bleaching service in the salon.
- Reduce the residual yellow for a cleaner platinum, for example with No Glow Yellow Shampoo and No Glow Yellow Mask.
- Apply Gems 01 Platinum to clean, dry hair, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
- Finish with Stabilizer pH 3.5 as the last step.
- Revive the reflection when it fades: on washed, towel-dried hair, 5 to 15 minutes according to the desired intensity.
On hair that is already very light or bleached the path starts from step 3; on darker hair the lightening is done in the salon. A test on a hidden strand shows the result on the real base in advance.
How to use Gems 01 Platinum
On washed hair
- Wash the hair and blot the excess water.
- Apply the colour mask and comb through.
- Leave on for 5 to 15 minutes according to the desired reflection intensity.
- At the end of the processing time, rinse thoroughly.
On previously bleached strands
- Apply the colour mask to clean, dry hair.
- Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes.
Pre-pigmentation
- Apply the colour mask to lengths and ends.
- Comb through.
- Remove the excess product.
- Proceed with the colour application, with or without ammonia.
Wear suitable gloves before application.
Mixes with Gems 01 Platinum
Gems 01 Platinum is used on its own for the platinum of the chart, or diluted with Gems C Clear for a softer, more transparent platinum. It does not appear in the 31 official formulas of the collection, so the chart gives no fixed percentages for mixing it with other Gems shades.

For professionals
- Service: platinum toning on lightened hair, a softer platinum with Gems C Clear, a cool reflection between colour services, pre-pigmentation before colour with or without ammonia.
- Processing time: 5-15 minutes on washed, towel-dried hair; 15-20 minutes on bleached strands, applied to dry hair.
- Formats: 200 ml.
- At the station: Gems C Clear to dilute the shade and the Gems Colors Chart to show the client shades and formulas on real hair.

Does Gems 01 Platinum need a developer?
No: it is a ready-to-use colour mask, without ammonia and without developer.
Does it show on brown or dark hair?
No: the platinum needs the lightest base. On darker hair lightening in the salon comes first.
Why can the platinum look beige or uneven?
The warmth left in the hair mixes with the cool pigment. A lighter base and reducing the residual yellow give a cleaner platinum.
How is a softer platinum made?
By diluting it with Gems C Clear, which lowers the intensity of the shade.
Is it part of the official formulas?
No: Gems 01 Platinum does not appear in the 31 official formulas of the Gems Colors Chart. It is used on its own or diluted with Gems C Clear.

We ship with DHL Express in Switzerland.
Under CHF 99 shipping costs CHF 5.80. From CHF 99 it is free.
Orders received by 12:00 from Monday to Friday leave the same day. After 12:00 they leave the next business day. Friday afternoon and weekend orders leave on Monday.
All deliveries are made against signature on receipt. You receive the tracking link by email or SMS.
Damaged or uncollected parcels
If the parcel arrives damaged, report it within 48 hours: photograph the packaging and the products, keep the box for the carrier inspection, and send us the images together with your order number. We file the claim with DHL.
If a parcel comes back to us because of a wrong address, failure to collect within the deadline or refusal on delivery, both the carrier return costs and the original shipping fee are deducted from your refund.
Returns and refunds
You can request a return within 14 days of receipt, from the self-service area of your account or by writing to customer care.
For hygiene reasons we only accept products that are intact, unused and still sealed. If the seal is open or the product shows signs of use, the return is refused.
If the error is ours, the return is free. Otherwise return shipping is at your expense, 5% of the product price is withheld for logistics and quality control, and the original shipping fee is not refunded.
The refund is processed within 3 business days of the returned product being checked.
Subscription
On products that offer it you can set up automatic delivery every 30 or 60 days, with automatic billing. Subscribers have priority access to stock.
You can pause, skip a delivery, change address or payment method and cancel at any time from your account, with no penalty.
Changes must be made at least 48 hours before the next billing: once the order has been generated they no longer apply to that shipment.
Each order is billed at the price in force on that day.
