How to use
- Wash with a gentle shampoo and towel-dry thoroughly to remove excess water. Do not apply conditioner or masks beforehand, so the pigment adheres perfectly.
- On pre-lightened hair at level 9-10 with no residual yellow, apply Gems 02 Lavender evenly on lengths and ends, combing through for even distribution.
- Leave on for 5 to 15 minutes for a light, iridescent effect, or up to 20 minutes for a more intense shade. For a softer pastel, mix with Gems C Clear to reduce pigment intensity.
- Add a little water and gently massage to emulsify, enhancing luminosity and evenness.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, avoiding shampoo to preserve the longevity of the colour.

Do I need an oxidiser? No. It is ready to use and works without ammonia or developer.
What happens if my base is still yellow? Lavender is built on violet and blue pigments. Deposited over residual yellow warmth they neutralise each other, and the result reads as a dull greyish or beige tone rather than lavender. Lighten and neutralise the base to level 9-10 before toning, and run a strand test first.
Will it show on darker blonde hair? Only faintly. A pastel needs a very light base to be visible: below level 9 the reflection is barely perceptible.
How do I get a softer pastel lavender? Mix Gems 02 Lavender with Gems C Clear to tone down the pigment intensity.
