What is Gems 23 Champagne?
Gems 23 Champagne is a semi-permanent colour mask by Code Zero, from The Gems Collection, that deposits a champagne beige blonde reflection. It is ready to use, without ammonia and without developer: apply, leave on for 5 to 15 minutes and rinse.
On light or lightened hair it gives the champagne beige of the colour chart; on natural blonde hair it leaves a beige reflection. It is used on its own, diluted with Gems C Clear for a lighter beige, or as a pre-pigmentation before colour. It is not part of the official formulas of the Gems Colors Chart.

The starting base decides the colour
Gems 23 Champagne does not lighten: it adds its pigment to the colour it finds on the hair. Its beige shows on light bases, and the undertone left in the hair changes how warm the result looks. Assessing the hair before application is the step that decides the final colour.
How to assess the base
- Level: how light the hair is, on a scale from 1 (black) to 10 (lightest blonde). The champagne beige of the colour chart is achieved on a light base.
- Underlying tone: after lightening a yellow or orange undertone often remains. A pale yellow undertone gives the beige of the chart; a stronger yellow gives a warmer, more golden beige; an orange undertone is not covered by this shade.
- Evenness: roots, lengths and ends can have different levels, and each area shows a different beige.
- Porosity: lightened or treated hair takes the pigment faster than natural hair: on very porous ends the beige can deposit deeper.

How to achieve the champagne beige of the colour chart
- Assess the base: level and underlying tone, as described above.
- Lighten to a light base with a pale yellow undertone, if the hair is darker: a lightening service in the salon.
- Apply Gems 23 Champagne to clean, dry hair, leave on for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse thoroughly.
- Finish with Stabilizer pH 3.5 as the last step.
- Revive the reflection when it fades: on washed, towel-dried hair, 5 to 15 minutes according to the desired intensity.
On hair that is already light or bleached the path starts from step 3; on darker hair the lightening is done in the salon. A test on a hidden strand shows the result on the real base in advance.
How to use Gems 23 Champagne
On washed hair
- Wash the hair and blot the excess water.
- Apply the colour mask and comb through.
- Leave on for 5 to 15 minutes according to the desired reflection intensity.
- At the end of the processing time, rinse thoroughly.
On previously bleached strands
- Apply the colour mask to clean, dry hair.
- Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes.
Pre-pigmentation
- Apply the colour mask to lengths and ends.
- Comb through.
- Remove the excess product.
- Proceed with the colour application, with or without ammonia.
Wear suitable gloves before application.
Mixes with Gems 23 Champagne
Gems 23 Champagne is used on its own for the champagne beige of the chart, or diluted with Gems C Clear for a lighter, more transparent beige. It does not appear in the 31 official formulas of the collection, so the chart gives no fixed percentages for mixing it with other Gems shades.

- Service: beige toning on lightened hair, a lighter beige with Gems C Clear, a beige reflection between colour services, pre-pigmentation before colour with or without ammonia.

Under CHF 99 shipping costs CHF 5.80. From CHF 99 it is free.
Orders received by 12:00 from Monday to Friday leave the same day. After 12:00 they leave the next business day. Friday afternoon and weekend orders leave on Monday.
All deliveries are made against signature on receipt. You receive the tracking link by email or SMS.
Damaged or uncollected parcels
If the parcel arrives damaged, report it within 48 hours: photograph the packaging and the products, keep the box for the carrier inspection, and send us the images together with your order number. We file the claim with DHL.
If a parcel comes back to us because of a wrong address, failure to collect within the deadline or refusal on delivery, both the carrier return costs and the original shipping fee are deducted from your refund.
Returns and refunds
You can request a return within 14 days of receipt, from the self-service area of your account or by writing to customer care.
For hygiene reasons we only accept products that are intact, unused and still sealed. If the seal is open or the product shows signs of use, the return is refused.
If the error is ours, the return is free. Otherwise return shipping is at your expense, 5% of the product price is withheld for logistics and quality control, and the original shipping fee is not refunded.
The refund is processed within 3 business days of the returned product being checked.
Subscription
On products that offer it you can set up automatic delivery every 30 or 60 days, with automatic billing. Subscribers have priority access to stock.
You can pause, skip a delivery, change address or payment method and cancel at any time from your account, with no penalty.
Changes must be made at least 48 hours before the next billing: once the order has been generated they no longer apply to that shipment.
Each order is billed at the price in force on that day.
