How to use
- Wash with a gentle shampoo and towel-dry to remove excess water. Do not apply conditioner or masks before colouring, so the pigment adheres perfectly.
- Check your starting level and the warmth already present in the base: a light, controlled canvas is what allows the gold to read as gold rather than as brass.
- Apply the mask evenly to damp hair over lengths and ends, distributing with a wide-tooth comb for uniform coverage. Wear gloves during application.
- On pre-lightened or porous hair, leave on 5-15 minutes, since the pigment is taken up quickly; on blonde hair that is not colour-treated, extend up to 20 minutes for a fuller, warmer result.
- Emulsify with a small amount of water and gently massage to distribute the colour evenly, then rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear, avoiding shampoo to maintain the pigment as long as possible. To seal the colour, apply Stabilizer pH 3.5.

Do I need an oxidiser? No. It is ready to use and works without ammonia or developer.
Why does my result look brassy or orange? Gold is a warm tone and does not correct warmth, it adds to it. Deposited over a base that still holds orange or strong yellow, it intensifies what is already there. Control the warmth of the base first, or choose a cool shade instead.
Can I use it on natural mid to dark hair? Not for a visible golden blonde. Direct pigments do not lighten, so on a mid to dark base the gold stays invisible and you will see at most a faint warm reflection in the light.
How do I get a more intense result? Extend the processing time up to 20 minutes on blonde hair that is not colour-treated, and repeat at the following wash if needed. Keep the application on damp hair: the protocol is built around damp hair and applying to dry hair gives uneven uptake.
