What is Vibrant Color 10.11?
Vibrant Color 10.11 Intense Ash Ultra Light Blond by Code Zero is a professional permanent colour cream with vegetal liposomes, shea butter and alfa keratin: a platinum blond with an intense ash reflect, level 10. On the Code Zero colour chart a doubled digit marks an intense reflect: .11 is a stronger ash than 10.1 Ultra Light Ash Blond, the ash platinum blond of the same level. The ash reflect is cool and tones down the yellow-orange undertone that comes out in the lightest blonds and in bleached hair. With Oxidizer 20 vol it covers white hair. It is one of the newer shades of the range, shown on the Vibrant Color Chart Up6 Mini, in the intense ash family from 5.11 to 10.11. It mixes with Oxidizer at a 1:1 ratio and one 100 ml tube is enough for two services.

New to Vibrant Color? How to read the shade code
Vibrant Color is Code Zero's permanent colour cream, with ammonia and vegetal liposomes: more than 100 shades in 100 ml tubes, arranged in families on the colour chart (naturals, ash, golden, copper, red, tobacco, beige and more). Every shade is mixed 1:1 with Oxidizer, except the 90 superbleaching shades (1:1.5). The digit before the point is the level, from 1 (black) to 10 (ultra light blond); the digits after the point are the reflect.

The first digit after the point is the main reflect (7.43 = copper golden); a doubled digit means an intense reflect (.11 = intense ash). The + sign marks the intense naturals, with more pigment (7.+). The 90 shades are the superbleaching shades, lifting up to 4-5 tones; 01 and 09 are toners; 0.22 to 0.66 are the Pure Pigments, added to the mix.
The starting base decides the colour
Vibrant Color 10.11 deposits an intense ash pigment. The result is the shade plus what the hair already contains: first look at the base, that is the level, the percentage of white hair and whether the hair is natural, coloured or bleached, then choose the Oxidizer. 10.11 is not on the main Code Zero colour chart, so there are no official ratings by base and no lifting figure: the table below follows the uses of each Oxidizer volume given in the Code Zero leaflet and the bases of 10.1, the ash shade of the same level. On a new base, always start with a strand test.

Mixing ratio 1:1. The processing time does not change with the volume: first application 30-40 minutes in total, touch-up 30 minutes; on bleached hair 20-30 minutes, checking by sight. A colour does not lift an artificial colour: on coloured hair it only deposits. 40 vol is not used with 10.11: it is for the strongest lifts with the superbleaching shades.

Vibrant Color 10.11 on natural level 10 hair with white hair: first application
Starting point: natural level 10, never coloured, with up to half white hair.
Formula: 50 ml of Vibrant Color 10.11 + 50 ml of Oxidizer 20 vol (1:1).
Processing time: on the lengths and ends, starting 2 cm from the root, for 10-15 minutes; then on the roots for a further 20-25 minutes.
Result: tone on tone at level 10, an intense cool platinum blond, white hair covered.
Vibrant Color 10.11 on the regrowth: touch-up
Starting point: natural regrowth with white hair, lengths already coloured with 10.11.
Formula: 50 ml of Vibrant Color 10.11 + 50 ml of Oxidizer 20 vol (1:1).
Processing time: 20 minutes on the regrowth, then comb through all the hair for a further 10 minutes.
Result: even roots and lengths.
Vibrant Color 10.11 instead of 10.1 on bleached hair at level 10: a strong yellow-orange
Starting point: hair bleached to level 10, with a strong yellow-orange undertone, where 10.1 still leaves the result warm.
Formula: 50 ml of Vibrant Color 10.11 + 50 ml of Oxidizer 10 vol (1:1), the volume the Code Zero leaflet gives for colouring bleached hair; for a result between the two, half 10.11 and half 10.1.
Processing time: 20-30 minutes, checking by sight: bleached hair takes colour faster.
Result: a cooler platinum blond than with 10.1. On very porous ends, apply them last. Do a strand test first.
Vibrant Color 10.11 on brassy lengths: cooling the colour
Starting point: level 10 regrowth, lengths coloured with a blond that has faded to yellow-orange (brassy).
Formula: regrowth: 50 ml of Vibrant Color 10.11 + 50 ml of Oxidizer 20 vol (1:1); lengths: 25 ml of 10.11 + 25 ml of Oxidizer 10 vol in a second bowl.
Processing time: 20 minutes on the regrowth, then the 10 vol mix on the lengths for a further 10 minutes, checking by sight.
Result: even level 10, with the brassiness on the lengths toned down. The ash only deposits: it does not lighten lengths that have become darker than the regrowth.
Vibrant Color 10.11 on a level 8 or darker base: first lightening, then colour
Step 1, lightening: 35 g of Level Out Powder + 70 ml of Oxidizer 20 vol (1:2), on dry, unwashed hair. Check every 5 minutes and stop when the hair reaches level 10; in 45 minutes at room temperature Level Out lifts 5-6 levels.
Step 2, colour, the same day: rinse, towel dry, then apply 50 ml of Vibrant Color 10.11 + 50 ml of Oxidizer 10 vol (1:1), the volume the Code Zero leaflet gives for colouring bleached hair, for 20-30 minutes, checking by sight: freshly lightened hair takes colour faster.
Result: a cool level 10: the intense ash tones down the yellow-orange that the lightening leaves on a dark base.

How to use Vibrant Color 10.11
- Wear gloves. Mix in a non-metal bowl with a plastic brush, both clean.
- Mix 50 ml of Vibrant Color 10.11 with 50 ml of Oxidizer (1:1) just before use, choosing the volume from the table above, and use the mix straight away. Apply to dry, unwashed hair.
- First application (never coloured hair): apply to the lengths and ends starting 2 cm from the root; after 10-15 minutes apply to the roots and leave on for a further 20-25 minutes.
- Touch-up: apply to the regrowth and leave on for 20 minutes, then comb through all the hair for a further 10 minutes.
- Emulsify with a little warm water, massaging for 3-4 minutes, rinse thoroughly and finish with Color Fixx pH 5.5 shampoo.
Expert colourist tips for Vibrant Color 10.11
- Resistant white hair: start the application where the white hair is most glassy (temples, hairline, parting), with 20 vol and the full processing time. On very resistant virgin hair, 30 vol helps the colour take, as the Code Zero leaflet indicates for resistant hair.
- A lot of white hair: an intense ash on a lot of white hair can look grey or flat. Above 50% white hair use half 10.11 and half 10.0, always with 20 vol: the natural gives depth, the ash keeps the blond cool.
- Dosing the ash: 10.11 and 10.1 mix together: half and half gives an ash between the two, useful when 10.1 is too warm and 10.11 too cool.
- Very porous bleached hair: intense ash shades grab quickly on porous hair and can turn it grey. Apply the ends last, check by sight from 10 minutes, and on very porous hair use 5 vol (10 vol and 0 vol in equal parts).
- Lighter than 10.11: 10.11 is the lightest of the intense ash shades. To lift further on natural hair use 90.1 Superbleaching Ash Blond (1:1.5 with 30 or 40 vol, 45-50 minutes, up to 4-5 tones, according to the Code Zero leaflet); on coloured hair a colour does not lift a colour and lightening is needed.
- From a dark base: 10.11 does not lift a level 8 or darker base to level 10: lighten first with Level Out Powder, then 10.11 with 10 vol (see the worked case).
New to the salon: quick guide and common mistakes
The words on this page. Level: how light or dark the hair is, from 1 (black) to 10 (platinum blond). Reflect: the tone of the colour; .1 means ash, a cool reflect, .11 an intense ash. Vol: the strength of the Oxidizer (10 vol = 3%, 20 vol = 6%, 30 vol = 9%, 40 vol = 12%). Regrowth: the new hair at the root. Deposit: colour added without lifting. Tone on tone: same level as the base. Brassy: a blond that has turned yellow-orange.
Before you start. Determine the level of the base. Assess the percentage of white hair and how much yellow-orange the base shows. Do a strand test on a new base.
Common mistakes. Expecting 10.11 to lighten a dark base or to remove a copper colour. Using 10.11 alone on a lot of white hair. Leaving 10.11 for the full time on very porous bleached hair. Mixing 10.11 with a golden or copper shade in the same bowl: the reflects cancel each other out. Using a metal bowl. Using Oxidizer 0 vol on its own: it does not develop the colour.

Which Oxidizer volume does Vibrant Color 10.11 need?
According to the Code Zero leaflet: 10 vol to darken or colour without lifting, also on bleached hair; 20 vol for tone on tone and to cover white hair; 30 vol to lift more, for resistant hair and for first applications; 40 vol for ultra-lightening. With 10.11, in practice 20 vol with white hair, 10 vol without and on bleached hair.
What is the difference between 10.11 and 10.1?
Both are level 10 ash shades. On the Code Zero colour chart a doubled digit marks an intense reflect: 10.11 has a stronger ash than 10.1. 10.1 is on the main colour chart, with ratings by base and a lifting power of 3½-4; 10.11 is one of the newer shades and has no technical table on the chart.
Why does this page not give a lifting power?
The lifting power and the ratings by base come from the main Code Zero colour chart, and 10.11 is not on it. The starting-base table follows the Oxidizer uses in the Code Zero leaflet and the bases of 10.1: on a new base, do a strand test.
Can 10.11 lighten the hair?
On natural level 9 hair, with 20 vol, it lifts by about 1 tone. On coloured hair it does not lift. From a level 8 or darker base, lighten first with Level Out, then 10.11 with 10 vol.

All deliveries are made against signature on receipt. You receive the tracking link by email or SMS.
Damaged or uncollected parcels
If the parcel arrives damaged, report it within 48 hours: photograph the packaging and the products, keep the box for the carrier inspection, and send us the images together with your order number. We file the claim with DHL.
If a parcel comes back to us because of a wrong address, failure to collect within the deadline or refusal on delivery, both the carrier return costs and the original shipping fee are deducted from your refund.
Returns and refunds
You can request a return within 14 days of receipt, from the self-service area of your account or by writing to customer care.
For hygiene reasons we only accept products that are intact, unused and still sealed. If the seal is open or the product shows signs of use, the return is refused.
If the error is ours, the return is free. Otherwise return shipping is at your expense, 5% of the product price is withheld for logistics and quality control, and the original shipping fee is not refunded.
The refund is processed within 3 business days of the returned product being checked.
