Its ammonia-free, ready-to-use formula deposits intense direct pigments for a deep, velvety mauve with shadowy undertones, colouring and nourishing at the same time. The pigment deposits without lightening, so the base underneath decides how the mauve reads. No oxidiser is required and the colour fades gradually and evenly.

Ideal for anyone who wants a deep, rich and sophisticated mauve without damaging the hair, and for pre-pigmenting, toning or adding multidimensional reflections. A smoky violet needs a light canvas to be read: on pre-lightened or blonde hair the mauve shows clearly, while on natural mid to dark bases it leaves a discreet cool reflection rather than a visible mauve. The base must also be free of strong residual yellow, otherwise the blue component turns the result green or khaki. Formulated for professional salon use. How to use
- Wash with a gentle shampoo and towel-dry to remove excess water. Do not apply conditioner or masks before colouring, so the pigment adheres perfectly.
- Check your starting level and the warmth left in the base: a light, yellow-free canvas is what allows the mauve to read as mauve.
- Apply the mask evenly to damp hair, distributing with a wide-tooth comb for uniform coverage. Always wear gloves: violet pigments stain skin and surfaces.
- On natural hair, leave on 15-20 minutes for a visible, intense tone; on pre-lightened or treated hair, reduce to 5-15 minutes depending on the desired intensity, since porous hair takes the pigment faster.
- Emulsify with a small amount of water and gently massage to distribute the colour evenly, then rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear, avoiding shampoo to maintain the pigment as long as possible. To seal the colour, apply Stabilizer pH 3.5.

Do I need an oxidiser? No. It is ready to use and works without ammonia or developer.
Why did my result turn green or khaki? The formula contains a blue pigment. Deposited over a base that still holds yellow warmth, blue and yellow combine and read green. A cleaner, cooler base before application prevents it.
Can I use it on natural hair? Yes, but the effect is a discreet cool reflection, not a visible mauve. On natural hair leave on 15-20 minutes; the deeper the base, the more subtle the result.
How do I soften the shade? Mix Gems 12 Dark Mauve with Gems C Clear for softer, more transparent tones.

Under CHF 99 shipping costs CHF 5.80. From CHF 99 it is free.
Orders received by 12:00 from Monday to Friday leave the same day. After 12:00 they leave the next business day. Friday afternoon and weekend orders leave on Monday.
All deliveries are made against signature on receipt. You receive the tracking link by email or SMS.
Damaged or uncollected parcels
If the parcel arrives damaged, report it within 48 hours: photograph the packaging and the products, keep the box for the carrier inspection, and send us the images together with your order number. We file the claim with DHL.
If a parcel comes back to us because of a wrong address, failure to collect within the deadline or refusal on delivery, both the carrier return costs and the original shipping fee are deducted from your refund.
Returns and refunds
You can request a return within 14 days of receipt, from the self-service area of your account or by writing to customer care.
For hygiene reasons we only accept products that are intact, unused and still sealed. If the seal is open or the product shows signs of use, the return is refused.
If the error is ours, the return is free. Otherwise return shipping is at your expense, 5% of the product price is withheld for logistics and quality control, and the original shipping fee is not refunded.
The refund is processed within 3 business days of the returned product being checked.
